What was ‘The Steels Trust’ is now The S.M.S (The Steels Ministry Supporters).

The Steels, Adam, Matt and Matt B are a Christian rock band from the North East of England. The band exists to change the stereotypical image that so many young people hold of Christianity. They do this by playing outreach gigs and working in schools up and down the country.

In their gigs, The Steels put on a high quality, energetic, interactive show. They entertain the crowd and in return have the platform to share their own experiences of God, and how he has changed their lives.
In their schools work,

The Steels deliver a variety of RE and music workshops. The young people have a great time and discover that Christians are normal people like them, who try and live their lives God’s way.

WHY DO THE STEELS NEED MY SUPPORT?

The age when most people give their lives to God is when they are teenagers. The Steels have a real knack of connecting with this age group, relating to them on their level and sharing their faith in a way that young people understand and respond to. In a culture where teenagers are surrounded by negative influences in the media, telling them life is all about money, sex and self indulgence, it is vital that the positive influence of The Steels continues.

The cost of putting on a high quality gig, that impresses young people, is often quite expensive. But, The Steels don’t want money to limit who their music and message can reach. By supporting The Steels financially you are supplementing the band to visit schools and play concerts when the organisers cannot completely afford their services.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE STEELS?

Adam, Matt and Matt B are all university graduates who have put career paths and stable incomes on hold to do something they really believe in. If you share their passion for young people then please support them through prayer, giving and action by joining The S.M.S (The Steels Ministry Supporters).
